About Me

I am a writer and teacher who lives in Tampa, Florida. I studied public relations in college and started down the business route before discovering that kids are my passion. By day, I teach seventh grade English where I try to bring fun and laughter into every lesson. By night, I write middle grade stories. It was because of teaching that I was inspired to become a writer. I saw the effect that books had on my students and I wanted to be part of that world.

When I’m not writing, I enjoy making up crazy songs with my son, curling up with a good book that I can't put down, or I’m outside soaking up the beauty and wonder that Florida has to offer.
